Should you ever spill any type of liquid, such as soda, coffee or water, on your laptop, you must take immediate action. By all means, do not wait until the next day or later. Hesitation may give the liquid enough time to get deep into the delicate components of the laptop, such as the motherboard circuits. If liquid makes it to the motherboard circuits, the motherboard may short out or blow a circuit if you do not properly plug in the power supply cord.
